EMC laboratory successfully confirmed as Technical Service!

Manufacturer of electronic assemblies for vehicles can rejoice, the EMC laboratory of IMST GmbH was again confirmed in an external audit by the Federal Motor and Transport Authority (Kraftfahrt-Bundesamt, KBA) as Approved / Notified EMC test laboratory as well as Technical Service for EMC in automotive assemblies.

New here is also that this EMC competence also applies to the international standard UN ECE R10 for EMC in automotive assemblies. This was necessary because the "old" European Directive (72/245/EEC, including updates up to

2009/19/EC) will no longer remain valid.

The baseline for demonstrating competence as a Technical Service is to meet the international standards for testing laboratories (DIN EN ISO/IEC 17025) as well as for inspection bodies (DIN EN ISO/IEC 17020).

Thus, IMST GmbH supports forward-oriented, manufacturers in addition to the e1-symbol (National Certificates) and the E1-symbol (International Approval from Germany).

As a Technical Service for EMC, the testing laboratory also evaluates changes in your products, and creates in this context the necessary documents for the Federal Motor and Transport Authority (KBA), if necessary, amending approval certificates together with the manufacturer. We see ourselves as comprehensive service provider and partner for our clients.

In addition, we as a customer-oriented service of course also implement application-specific tests according to manufacturer specifications, some of which exceed the regular Standards yet.
