- 1992 – The IMST (Institute of Mobile and Satellite communication Technology) is established as an affiliated institute of the University of Duisburg-Essen, in order to allow direct transfer of leading-edge of science and technology.
- 1995 – Inauguration of the company building by Prime Minister Johannes Rau.
- 1996 – The company has positioned itself successfully in the market for communications systems, circuit and antenna technology.
- 1997 - Successful development of ‘Radiophone (GSM-telephone within a automotive radio)’ for Bosch Blaupunkt.
- 1997 – Completion and opening of the EMC test center facility.
- 1998 – After developing the design tools TOPAS, COPLAN® and MultiLib®, IMST developed with EMPIRE XCcel® the fastest 3D electromagnetic time domain simulator.
- 2000 - 2005 – Cooperation in the Siemens mobile phone C25-S65 Series.
- 2003 – In addition to private-public projects, the focus of IMST is increasingly in the field of industrial added-value projects.
- 2003 – Establishment of Centrum21; A competence center for advanced technologies and concepts of digital radio communications technologies.
- 2004 – Positioning as a chip design house and systems integrator, and successful collaboration with global companies in the semiconductor sector.
- 2008 – IMST WiMOD® radio modules developed for the ISM bands: 433 MHz, 868 MHz, and 2.4 GHz.
- 2009 - Establishment of KAT - Competence Center Automotive Technologies.
