In daily life and at work, people are exposed to low- and high-frequency electric, magnetic or electromagnetic fields resulting from a variety of technical applications. Examples are powerline equipment, railways, EAS, PC monitors, high current industry appliances such as welding robots, not to be mentioned all the nice little gimmicks such as cellular and cordless phones, PDAs and RFID-applications in stores.

Furthermore, several machinery in industrial environments like welding-machines and robots, induction heating, microwave heating as well as some medical diagnostic devices are utilizing electromagnetic fields, too.

Thus, industrial workers, craftsmen, and citizens in public areas have to be protected be appropriate safety measures like determination of the actual fields, limitation of actual exposure levels as well as complementing the product development process by suitable EM-simulation support to minimize the impact of electric, magnetic, and even electromagnetic fields to humans.

IMST offers measurements with calibrated, isotropic, highly sensitive, frequency-selective electric and magnetic field probes. RMS and peak field strengths can be monitored up to 24 hours as well. Of course, our measurement experts analyze the exposure level at your premises, too. In addition, we will give qualified guidance on how to minimize the exposure levels to citizens, public authorities and network operators respectively.
